A new layer of hospitality

Great hotels are remembered
for how they make people feel.

SFERIA brings curated digital art, virtual musicians and panoramic films into luxury hotel lobbies, bars, lounges and spas. Each programme can complement the architecture, destination and time of day.

Across three synchronized portrait displays, SFERIA turns a wall into a stage.

Start with the guest experience, then plan the display format, mounting, playback and content management for your property. Explore the content library, existing installations and operational options below.

The SFERIA experience

Designed to feel present in the room.

Life-size jazz trio on three separate portrait displays in a hotel lounge

A band in your space

Life-size musicians perform from a fixed audience perspective, without camera movements, cuts or changing angles. The impression is of a band performing in your space, with content that creates atmosphere without demanding constant attention.

Calm, living views

Panoramas feel like a view through a window: clouds drift, people walk and fish swim, while the viewpoint stays still. The scene comes to life without the whole landscape moving across the screen.

Why three portrait displays?

Three synchronised portrait displays give individual musicians their own space at a natural, life-size scale. The gaps keep the architecture visible and help the installation become part of the interior. The same arrangement becomes a triptych of digital art or windows onto a panoramic scene.

SFERIA × Studio54 Fine Art

Your hotel becomes
a curated gallery.

Studio54 Fine Art brings selected contemporary works into the hotel experience — here, French fine-art photographer Patrick Desgraupes’ VAT Collection transforms the living world of wine into monumental circles of colour, matter and light.

Curated for your hotel

Collections are selected to complement the identity, architecture and destination of each property.

Art Partnership

Hotels can use selected art programs for private viewings, guest events, public relations, social media and newsletters.

Additional Revenue

Selected artworks can be discovered and purchased by guests. The hotel receives a commission on sales generated through the property.

For 15 years, I created theatre productions for cruise ships. I often attended the performances onboard and spent six months at sea myself at the very beginning. Through that work, I came to know the challenges of bringing great live musicians onboard. That experience sparked an idea: bring real live concerts, carefully recorded, into hotels and ships.

The concept began as Virtual Entertainment and later became Ambient Walls. After more than a decade of practical use, it evolved into SFERIA — with new software, virtual live concerts, curated art and panoramic worlds. The aim is still to make a room feel alive, enriching its atmosphere alongside live entertainment.

Plan your SFERIA experience

Beyond the core experience

Two additional possibilities.
One installed system.

SFERIA remains first and foremost a curated atmospheric experience. The same installed system can also support selected live events and carefully controlled commercial partnerships.

Optional 01 / Event ModeSame installed hardware

Bring people together.

For live sports, broadcasts and special events, the displays can be manually repositioned side by side to create one large viewing canvas — with no additional screen required.

Optional 02 / Partnership ModeShared investment

Curated presence.
Shared investment.

A SFERIA wall is the most watched surface in the house. Partnership Mode lets a hotel share it, on its own terms, with a small number of brands that belong in the room: a champagne house in the bar, a watchmaker in the lobby, a destination partner in the lounge. Never more than a curated fraction of the programme, always in the visual language of the hotel, always under the hotel’s control.

For the hotel, this turns an atmosphere investment into a co-financed one. Partner contributions can cover a substantial part of the monthly licence or the installation itself, while the guest experience remains what it was designed to be: art, music and landscapes, with a discreet presence from brands the hotel would have chosen anyway.

SFERIA handles scheduling, proof of play and reporting; the hotel decides who appears, when and for how long. Our first partnership programmes are in preparation with an international luxury spirits group and a leading digital out-of-home platform.

A decade in daily operation

Built for hospitality.
Proven in daily operation.

First known as Virtual Entertainment, then Ambient Walls and now SFERIA, the technology has been used at more than 150 locations through permanent installations, rental deployments and temporary projects — and refined through more than ten years of real-world operation.

150+locations reached through permanent, rental and temporary deployments

10+years in operation

Reference case · Leonardo Hotels27 hotels · 81 displays

Twenty-seven hotels.
One atmosphere.

SFERIA is installed in 27 Leonardo Hotels across Europe, with 81 displays in lobbies, bars and lounges. Each hotel runs its own programme: Oktoberfest bands in Munich in September, winter panoramas in the Alps, quiet coastal scenes for the spa. All of it is curated centrally and managed remotely, so a general manager never touches a cable.

At the Leonardo Royal Berlin Alexanderplatz, the installation goes one step further. Three portrait displays glide together on rails into a single wide screen for live sport, broadcasts and events, then return to their gallery arrangement with a gentle push. It is the flagship installation and can be visited by appointment.

Further active installations demonstrate SFERIA’s reliable daily operation across distinct hotel concepts and guest environments.

Proven in five-star cruising

Azamara Cruises
Lüftner Cruises

Luxury cruise deployments extend that experience to demanding maritime environments, where space is limited and dependable daily operation is essential.

Proven beyond hospitality

TopPharm Pharmacy · Neuenhof, Switzerland
Alstertal Shopping Centre · Hamburg

These active installations demonstrate the platform’s versatility and operational reliability in high-traffic public environments.

Earlier generations were also deployed across retail destinations and an eleven-location fitness rollout — further proof of repeatable operation at scale, while SFERIA today is focused on five-star hospitality.

Planning & daily operation

Your questions.
Clearly answered.

What kind of music do the virtual bands play?

From jazz and classical music to pop, rock, blues, R&B, soul, oldies and DJ sets — SFERIA offers a broad musical repertoire and many other styles for different spaces and moods.

How much space does a SFERIA installation need?

The footprint depends on display size, spacing and mounting. Wall photographs, measurements and the viewing distance help us plan the installation. The final layout is specified for your space rather than based on a universal minimum.

Which display formats are available?

SFERIA uses three synchronized portrait displays in 65″, 75″ or 86″ formats. Custom configurations are assessed to suit the architecture.

How is the content changed?

Programmes are curated centrally and managed remotely. Content and schedules can be tailored to the property, time of day and seasonal themes.

What happens if the internet connection drops?

Approved content already stored on the dedicated player continues playing locally. An internet connection is needed for remote administration, monitoring, support and new updates. Local playback does not remove the need for a planned network connection.

How is sound planned for music programmes?

We discuss whether a music programme should use sound and how it would fit the existing sound system during planning. Share the intended use and details of the audio equipment already in the space.

What does the hotel need to provide?

Permanent power, a suitable mounting surface and a network connection for administration and updates. Existing displays, mounting conditions and connectivity are assessed for compatibility before a configuration is confirmed.
